Oatmeal Lace Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
In a saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat
Stir in the granulated sugar and cook until it's completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth
Remove the saucepan from heat and add the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, light corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt
Stir well to combine
Drop spoonfuls of the cookie batter onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving enough space between each for spreading
Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges
Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Once cooled, the oatmeal lace cookies will become crisp and delicate
